Electroref Engineers was established in 1981 and incorporated in 1997 as ElectroRef Engineers (Pvt) Ltd, as manufacturer, supplier & designer in the fields of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, Welding, Rice milling, Wood working. Since it’s establishment, company had the opportunity to work with major engineering projects in Sri Lanka awarded by the government & private organizations which made a significant contribution to its corporate development. Moving forward the company gained industrial experience and knowledge which enhanced its Engineering arm to specialize in non-destructive testing servicers, Ship Repairs, Heavy fabrication and Supply of wood working machinery. The company established Electroref Sales center in 2013 and Wayamba Saw mill and Timber deport in 2003 to its group to specialize in wood working machinery servicers and timber based products

Chairman & Managing Director

Founder member of ElectroRef Engineers, M.R.W Jayawardhana is an incorporated engineer holds National Diploma in technology, university of Moratuwa, Graduateship of City Guild, Diploma AC and Refrigeration, Diploma in Gemology, Diploma in Journalism. Started his carrier at Bata company and then joined with Ceylon institute of scientific and industrial research which provided experience and knowledge to develop ElectroRef Engineers. Subsequently, he served as a director board member of State Engineering Corporation. He also holds thirteen patents in various fields as Valve less Flushing system, Waste heat recovery system for air Conditioning & refrigeration equipment ,Plant for Paddy washing & cleaning ,In-fills for cooling towers, Paddy Drier, Engine operated with liquids having low boiling points, High & low density impurity removing system, Refrigeration system to preserve fish in multi-day fishing boats in Sri Lanka, Animated model of animal & human , Boiler & Hot water generator, New & efficient par-boiled paddy processing system, Hydro-power generator in which three patents won presidential awards.

Executive Director

40 years of experience in the field of high tech welding Nondestructive testing and welding inspection and air conditioning and refrigeration fields . U. Ekanayake has been predominantly the leading character in the welding industry for many years where many professional bodies and government institutions accept his certification for welder qualifications. U. Ekanayake was trained and obtained certification from the welding institute UK in Nondestructive testing and welding inspection and he is a long holding member of the American welding society, a certified welding inspector recognize by the welding institute UK and the American welding society. He has served at the State engineering corporation as a Sr. mechanical superintendent and later he has provided he services in abroad projects and several major Hydropower power, thermal power and petroleum industry projects in Sri Lanka and abroad with the certification and preparation of procedures. Furthermore, he was a resource person for the development of curriculum in the welding field for Turshari & vocational education commission in Sri Lanka.
